Founder & Executive Director
Jake’s path to food rescue began in Pittsburgh with volunteer work at 412 Food Rescue, followed by supporting Food Rescue Hero in helping partners nationwide adopt smarter food recovery systems. With that experience, Jake launched Chicago Food Rescue to create a volunteer-driven, community-focused model that reduces food waste while feeding neighbors who need it most.

Marketing Intern
Camra recently graduated from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor’s in Advertising with a Minor in African American Studies. She completed a Bachelor’s thesis covering proper African American representation in movies and television, something she hopes to continue to be an advocate for in her future career working in media. She grew up on the south side of Chicago and is a big fan of music, sports, and television shows.

Operations Intern
Stefi is a senior at DePaul University studying International studies. She is passionate about social justice and language and cultural exchange/learning. She speaks Spanish at an intermediate level and has experience as a grassroots organizer. She grew up in Chicago in the Midway area and is a big fan of the city, its people, and their resilience.
