    Jake’s path to food rescue began in Pittsburgh as a volunteer and then on staff for a local food recovery org before helping partners nationwide adopt smarter food recovery systems. With that experience, Jake moved back to where he had roots and launched Chicago Food Rescue to create a volunteer-driven, community-focused model that reduces food waste while feeding neighbors who need it most.

    Hannah joins the CFR team after years of experience working in food access and nutrition education, most recently at organizations such as Common Threads and Support+Feed. With a background in culinary arts, public health, and social justice, Hannah has also led volunteer engagement at the Greater Chicago Food Depository and previously served as a Sous Chef at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House in New York City.
